After months of domination on the battlefield the Seraphon menace has declined substantially. Although still considered a significant threat, the cold-blooded armies are no longer achieving the results they had seen before Sigmar updated the rules of war. This has led to the Slann ordering a significant cutback in the Realms’ skink population to conserve resources.
“This is not our preferred course of action,” acknowledged Slann Starmaster Kotkat. “However the Great Plan has evidently changed, and requires us to direct our resources elsewhere. We were overzealous with our Skink spawnings previously, so we are hoping this will enable us to return to the natural balance shortly.”
The Skinks are obviously not very happy about this, protesting in significant numbers on-board the temple-ships and inside the magically formed jungles of the Coalesced. This has provided the Saurus cohorts with ample excuse to cut them down, resulting in significant reptile-on-reptile violence.
Negotiations between the Slann and the Skink Starpriests are ongoing, as they seek to balance the needs of the Great Plan against the scourge of civil war. The Skink party is reportedly aiming to pin the blame onto the Kroxigor, on the basis that out of all the Seraphon they would most benefit from ‘being torn down and started again’.
